(saabir, 2010-09-30 09:43)

please dont go by rumours.there will be seperate merit list for each catageory and a fair and transparent list is being prepared.no minimum marks is fixed its only in the english paper.regarding ratio 1:5 is most likely and any unfair means can be used only in the final selection list

(Arvind, 2010-09-30 09:11)

We all have aspirations but we feel low when some unfavourable and unpractical rumours are there in Air...
we need immense patience till the result is declared....
its not about jammu verses kashmir...or vice versa or which region will get the most, dnt malign and corrupt your thinking by such divisive thoughts...the one who had performed best, deserves the best, thus will get
the best and JKPSC is not a body which was constituted to meet the aspiration of particular region, they will do wot is best for the aspirants and best for the state.
yes i agree corruption is there but before blaming others for corruption we need to clean our corrupt thinking and mind
All the serious and concerned aspirants should have immense faith on Almighty, who is there to take care of every one

all the best to all serious and concerned aspirants

Re: Kashmir may shine, Jmu bidding for more CV ratio

(Rahul, 2010-09-30 09:05)

Wel dear...as far original information It is exactly opposite..in 1:3 ratio more candidates r from jmu region...n if ratio 1:5 is nw applied it is only to appease kashmiri youth..don't spread false rumours which r baseless...

Kashmir may shine, Jmu bidding for more CV ratio

(REHAN to All , 2010-09-29 21:33)

Delay in KAS result
Kashmir may shine, Jmu bidding for more CV ratio

Ishfaq Mir
Srinagar, Sept 29: Even as results of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2009 - popularly known as Kashmir Administrative Services - are ready, the J&K Public Service Commission is dithering to declare them, with reports of internal bickering between officials of Kashmir and Jammu regions over the ratio of allotted seats to number of candidates.

As per sources, some Commission officials hailing from Jammu are unhappy after reportedly learning that lesser number of candidates from their region have been able to make it to the Mains list.
Sources close to Rising Kashmir said the Commission is not approving the list of candidates having qualified the Mains examination and shortlisted for the interview due to 'row' between PSC higher-ups over the proposed increase in candidate-vacancy (CV) ratio.
“While some of the top-rung officials are in favour of already proposed 1:3 ratio, others want to enhance it to 1:5,” said a source.
The PSC had conducted preliminary examination for CCE-2009 in May last year while the Mains for 398 vacancies were held March-April this year, but the results are not out yet.
The delay in results has made the candidates apprehensive, saying the PSC authorities are buying time to settle their "personal scores".
Sources disclosed the discord started after some officials in the Commission reportedly came to know that lesser number of candidates from Jammu had been able to make it to the Mains list.
“The delay in declaring results is deliberate. If the 1:5 ratio demand of some officials in PSC is adopted, it will take the number of shortlisted candidates to around 2000.” sources said.
At the time of inviting applications in year 2008 for the 398 vacancies in J&K civil administration, gazetted accounts service and police gazette service, the PSC had made it clear that it will use 1:3 selection ratio, that is, three candidates will be shortlisted per seat. While in preliminary examination this rule did apply and 11,100 candidates out of 34,000 were shortlisted for Mains examination, of whom only 7800 candidates appeared. Going by the PSC norms, 1194 candidates needed to be shortlisted for 398 vacancies in the final interview, but the Commission reportedly wants to increase this number to at least 2000.
While candidates are waiting for results of KAS Mains 2009, the PSC has already invited fresh applications for more vacancies, the preliminary examination for which was scheduled to be held in August 2010.
Repeated attempts to contact Secretary J&K PSC and Controller Examinations proved futile.

It gives me hard pain when ,people speak on regional lines...but i cant help people making such issues...its time to rise above region and think as a people of the state....let the list be fair and not influenced by regional politics....let the deserving be given the credit for and undeserving be made to work hard for next year.....the list sbe transparent and fair w.r.t the score of the aspirant....let there be no appeasment policy......believe me here we hear the opposite what iz written on this blog....lets have faith on connosieur chairman hopefully deserving shdnt be made to feel deperieved....,

Re: To Dr fayaz ganie

(dr fayyaz ganaie, 2010-09-29 08:56)

dear adfar A/A..
i am as much anxious as you are regarding results.but have faith in Allah.i don't have an idea about cut of but may be it is around 850 to 900 for om.furthermore, zoology is a very good scoring optional as far as KAS is concerned.if you have done good, wrote complete answers supplemented with diagrams chances are that you will score about 80% marks in zoology.i think 350 to 400 will be a reasonable score for serious guys.
