in upsc if you get 50 percentage marks then u have done ok.of u scored 55 per. then u have done really well and can easily make it in the final list even if your interview is average but if u score 50 per. then u will have to do really well in interview

as far as marks in prelims im expecting between 1100-1200.im not aware of the evaluation pattern of jkpsc.and guys score between 1100-1200 is considered very good in upsc.but few guys are expecting more than 1350 i dont understand how they will score such outstanding marks.he will become topper in this year kas final list

INDIAS population bane or boon

(dr fayyaz ganaie, 2010-07-15 05:53)

as it is widely known that national population policy formulated in 2000 has failed to acheive it's objectives.we are very far from attaining a stablised population growth, although the birth rate has declined to some extent.keeping in view the limited resources, the pressure on them is incresing.according to a report indias population will cross that of china in 2050 and it will be one hundred and sixty five crore.this huge population is going to pose a serious challenge to social security net, food availibility, education apportunities.the BPL population may further increase from current about 45% to much higher.so largely i think it will be bane.although if india adopts cetain policy measures like imparting various skills, and long term population control measures, increasing the resource base, awareness programmes, education things will be althogather different.

hi IAS dropee as you call yourself..i suggest first of all stop to call urself dropee..ok I BELEIVE u must be a very talented and learned man now coz of your rigrous prep for years.my dear fried i know intetrview is personality test and read my earlier posts i have discussed everything in detail.yes, the interview panel want to see your balance of judgement, prrsence of mind, confidence level, leadership quality, etc u don't need to mug up data.i suggesst juz be what you are..while answering questions be confident, relaxed n in a light mood ok.while answering questions always take middle path never take extreme positions.in complicated or political questions like kashmir issue/militancy juz putforth differnt viewpoints like hurriyats stand, moderate groups stand, mainstream stand, indian position, paki approach,.in other questions juz use your commensence..e.g it was once asked if a green stone is thrown in a blue coloured lake what will happen?jus say stone will get wet and sink...this is the way..in advance prepare ur biodata and questions related to them quite well like if u say fishing..types of indian fish..fish found in kashmir..ecology..pisiculture..nutrient value..breeding etc

Re: IAS DROPEE

(dr fayyaz ganaie, 2010-06-27 10:31)

AND deaer friend they always ask u this question which u wrote that what difference u will make by joining civil services?why u opted for differnt optionals than ur parent subjects.being engineer or doc would have served better in ur profession y u opted for civil.the answewrs for these questions are obvious and quite easy.the trend of increasingly large number of aspirents opting for civil services has been seen in recent past.i think this is a very good development.the professionals like docs, engineers can prove to be very good administrators coz of there expertise, they have refined skills, and can understand policies better they can suggest innovative measures help in development.professionals have logical minds with precision of detail and result orientation.these qualities are crtical in prestigious civil services.
regardin another question, that why u opted for IAS i say..being a doc we deal with a single patient or with one aspect of ther lives but in civil services your dealing is with society as a whole u have power u change things..ur policies touch lives of millions of poor and downtrodeen..u can bring a change..

de ganie

(ias dropee, 2010-06-27 08:56)

the question which asked in every interview to me is after u did b.e professional degree why u want to join ias.you should do a technical job in mnc and leave ias for others.my answer was not very convincing. can u give me any suggestion how i should reply to that type of questions
