hortiiculture

(dr fayyaz ganaie, 2010-06-21 04:44)

hi guys,
hPopularly referred to as the valley of flowers, the Kashmir horticulture is one of the prominent economic sector of the state. Known for the wide variety of fruits and flowers, the horticultural sector forms the backbone of the economy of Jammu and Kashmir.

The horticultural sector contributes around twelve hundred crores to the annual income of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The state government has declared the horticulture to be one of the most important economic sectors of the state that has contributed immensely to the strengthening of the financial condition of Jammu and Kashmir.

Blessed with a salubrious climate and suitable soil, Kashmir produces many different kinds of fruits and flowers. The majority of the local population of Jammu and Kashmir is directly or indirectly involved with horticulture of the state.

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has devised several plans to improve the marketing strategy of the numerous horticultural products of the state. Most of the products of horticulture are exported that helps the state to earn a large chunk of the revenue.

The Department of Horticulture has formulated many different kinds of schemes to enhance the growth of horticultural products. Some of the most important schemes are the Agriculture Export Zones and Technology Mission. According to the Agriculture Export Zone, Kashmir has been acknowledged to be the Agri export zone of quality apples, and walnuts. The Technology Mission aims to further improve the infrastructural amenities of the horticultural sector of the state.orticulture assumes huge significance wgen it comes to agricultural discussion.

agri..

(dr fayyaz ganaie, 2010-06-20 17:03)

coming to decline in agricultural share in gsdp which come down to 25% from 47% is a question which assumes significance.i think it's not an alarming trend.as an economy develops, agri share declines..and manufacturing and services sector contribution increases.what is need of the hour in commercialisation of agriculture at national as well as state well.majority of indians practice hand to mouth agriculture which.incresing the size of land holdings is another solution proposed.incresed mechanisation and organic farming are considered need of the hour in indian agriculture.the recent food inflation trend is indication of the fact that special policies need to be framed to tackle this like incresed msp,etc

agriculture..

(dr fayyaz ganaie, 2010-06-20 16:54)

in 2010-2011 budget special emphasis has been laid on agriculture &allied activities since it forms backbone of our economy.special incentives have been given to this sector in the form of increased outlay by 28%.regarding crops grown my friend it's somethin linked with peculiar physiography of different regions in j&k.i think that will be a quite long discussion.we are discussin state budget ok.and in context of national budget where special emphasis was laid on agriculture in terms of efficient transportation,a satisfactory msp or minimum support price, increasing area under cultuvation of oilseeds.these things have been to some extent reflected in state budget.

hi dude a very good suggestion,
budget was agriculture oriented, tax exemption to tourist n agricultural sector,113 crore for sherikashmir employment policy,it was a gender budget which laid stress on women empowerment.there was provision for incresed allocation for women development corporations.
annual plan was pegged at 6000 cr.highest ever shear in central taxes about 2911 cr.For bringing greater transparency and accountability in implementation of development programme, 150 projects assigned to NABCONS
Rs. 75 crore in Plan for implementation of Sher-e-Kashmir Employment & Welfare Programme for Youths.
For bringing greater transparency and accountability in implementation of development programme, 150 projects worth Rs. 744 crore assigned to NABCONS and M/S Mckenzy.

Re: Marks of Interview

(dr fayyaz ganaie, 2010-06-20 14:10)

brother interview accounts for only 12% marks.so if u hv done well in written part u r ther in final list.interview is juz a formality and and u have to juz answer the questions with a kool mind.so more crucial is your written part.if u hv got average marks in mains written then interview bcomes crucial.
