5.         In 1945, out of 1750 workers in a factory 1200 were members of a trade union. The number of women workers was 200 of whom only 25 belonged to the union. In 1950 the number of union members rose to 1580, of whom 1290 were men. The number of non-union members fell to 208 and of them 180 were men. In 1955 there were 1800 employees in this union, while only 50 were out of it. Of the total 300 employees were women, of whom 8 did not join this union.
